New Year's Resolution - Really I'm sticking to it this time!!

This year I want to really stick to healthy eating and exercising, not really focusing on losing weight but focusing on a more healthy lifestyle - (but every now and than I can cheat right)

One of the biggest things I am starting that I want to do to keep me in line is keeping a calendar

One great way to set up my schedule. Work outs are pre-scheduled and I am trying hard to include others because having buddies to be there is better. Having a person there makes me feel like I have a meeting to get too and can't miss it.

Second, Making good choices with food. I have been purposely leaving my wallet in places where I can't get to it when I go to work. So, I bring my lunch to work. That way if someone said's hey wan to go eat lunch, I say sorry I don't have my wallet with me and I am forced to eat my healthy home made meal. I am also starting to bring home a healthy protein shake so on my way home while driving I am going to drink my shake, so I don't feel the need to stop anywhere nor run for the bag of chips for a presnack before dinner.

Positive Mind - Means good results.

My biggest problem is mind over body - I see myself and think negatively,

I am finding ways to boost my self-esteem, give me motivation. SO thanks to my friend

Pinterest I know have tons of motivation - everyday I try to look up pictures that motivate me without making me feel bad about myself.

Easy Tomato and Basil Bisque with Garlic Bread

Did you just get home from work and you are so tired like me that I can sleep in my work clothes, yeah I feel ya sister, but wait I hear a bunch of whinners in the kitchen screaming, "I`m hungry"

An easy, Inexpensive way to feed a BIG family

You need:

2 big jars/cans of Traditional (or your favorite) tomato sauce

1 big tub of plain fat free Sour Cream

1/2 box of chicken broth

1 teaspoon or to your liking of basil (tube, dry or from your household garden)

nothing hard just add all into a pot

let it simmer add salt to taste

Some Parmessan Cheese if you like and Waalaa!!

Garlic Bread Butter Spread

1 small clove of Garlic

A bit of Basil (whatever type is handy)

1 loaf of french bread

2 big spoons of your kitchen butter

if you have a food procesor add butter,garlic and basil and process

if not use a cheese grater and grate the garlic into a small bowl add basil and butter and mix.

Spread on French bread and Toast

Your family will think you slaved over the stove all day.

Do you remember in High School how you, well I didn't hate Cheerleaders they just were not your (my) favorite people. If you were a cheerleader than you were not a favorite people)

I remember I was liked by people, I didn't have clicks and girl dramas were always there but I never paid attention because for some fortunate reason I was never the topic of a juicy gossip. I wasn't popular but I wasn't unknown either. (Thank my Stars)

But if you were a Cheerleader something was always said about you.

I remember at try outs they would make them try out in front of the whole school, I never understood that. I always thought it was a way to let us the students have a reason to have our sweet moment of glory of embarrasing them, having the power to choose who would be so lucky to make it (by popular vote of course) and nevertheless we still voted for them and than made fun of them but cheered for them at pep rallies because let's face it their stuff was cool and than made fun of them some more. (maybe girl jelousy had somehting to do with it, who knows?)

I thought pheww!! I'm so glad I am not them.

I say this because years later or now the present I was blessed with a beautiful daughter who hah! to me Wanted to be yes, can you guess?? A Cheerleader. Sigh!

I can't say that I love it, I don't, I don't even watch the football games. I do get a kick out the parents who's kids are in the game. I hear a lot of "that's my baby"

As I embark on this journey of pom poms it amazes me how fate can be so fickle with me, I only hope that there are not a group of kids out there like me in my past and give her the fate of a cheerleader. (who am I kidding, I'm praying to all the Gods known to man, Yikes!)

But I must say She looks darn cute in that Uniform.

Good Bye Summer - Hello School!

This Week , We Started our first week of school. I am sure everyone had that craziness happen to you this week. Am I right?
My kiddos were so ready for school that at 6am they were ready. Yeah, I was excited too but not that excited.

This year I have a 4th Grader in my hands which let me tell you it's the pre-tween stage, meaning she hasn't hit Tween stage but it's getting there. If you didn't know there's three stages for Girls to hit. At least my theory of it.

Stage 1 - Between 7-10 - It's the Pre-Tween Stage - this is the stage where they want to be teens but still like little girl things a.k.a. barbies, Disney princess and shhh don't tell maybe even baby dolls or in my daughter's case an American Girl Doll.

Stage 2- Between 10-12 - It's the Tween Stage - well this stage they defet act like Teen's you know back talk, your shutting doors stage, maybe an occasional I hate you Mom here in there, you get to talk about all the fun stuff of where babies come from and the actual technicalities of it all ( if you haven't already in the previous stage) Yikes!!

Stage 3 -Between 12-18 - Defet TEENAGERS - If you still have beautiful hair that you haven't pulled out than Well you might as well call your doctor and have a prescription medicine for anxiety.

Back to my story, I am at Stage 1 - Apparently Feather's are the thing in Fashion. She told me! We roam the malls of Dallas to find Feathers that I didn't buy because they were expensive. (of course it's fashion, it's meant to see my check go Pufff!) So I went to the local Craft Store made them myself. (Cheaper haha!) That took care of that.

Next, she told me she had to be styling.. OK? I went to local thrift Stores, hit the clearance rak and waaala got her tons of clothes. Ohh the joys of Back to School right.

Now to find that perfect outfit. I remember just being able to pick something out and it was fine. Not anymore... I have to sit there and actually go through millions of combinations for her to tell me that it looks dumb. Sigh! I can't complain I do love our mother-daughter bond and hey at least I'm included in the choosing process.

Now, here is where having a boy (in my opinion) it's just so darn easy. "Z" could care less. He just wanted his hair to look cool. Rocker Style :) So, am I glad this First week of school is done Yes I am , but looking forward to our future endeavors. LOL!

Project 365 - is when you take a photo for each day of the week for the entire year.

This year one of my year's resolution is to post one picture for each day of the week. Of course I'm behind already by 11 days, so I will just start today and forgive these days.

Made Santa some Gluten -Free Peanut Butter Reese's Cup Cookies

Recipe

1 Bag of already prepped Gluten-free Cookie Mix (found at Wholefoods)

2 full spoonfulls of Peanut Butter

tons of Reeses's Butter Cups

Heat over 350* take them out 5 minutes before they are finished cooking

make a small indention and let them cool

add the Reese's Butter Cup

and Waalaa~

After a whole day of fun, we put our cookies and chocolate milk for Santa - his letters under the Tree

Tracked him on NORAD

and closed our little eyes and fell asleep.

Although later that night at 2am they woke up to go pee, saw the presents and well had no choice but to stay up and open presents.

This week I tried to make pancakes from scratch but using rice flour,remember we eat all GLUTEN-FREE items because "Z" has Can't eat yummy food I did not have sugar so I added brown sugar and some cinnamon but when Zeth took a bite he said

"MoM this taste HORRIBLE"

everyone else loved them..

We also ate Enchiladas for Dinner but not the "Mexican" kind the Central American kind yummmy!!

For friday night we didn't want to cook so we went TO ...TADA...CHILLI"S we brought a cool friend.

I found the coolest Bug ever with awesome luggage on top and everything LOL!

A review of the few months....

This past few months have been about the worst in my life. This part of my blog will be a more awww..you will feel awww for me LOL!

Well we start with my sweet little Z. He has had his few share of health issues and among the many he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease.
So, we have started our gluten-free diet so if anyone would love to input on their great tasting gluten free recipes please post post post.

It has been a hassle getting used to a new way of eating and lets just say that Whole foods has become our best grocery store...no more shopping at Walmart :(

I learned that Rice is our best friend too and that rice spaghetti should be immediately removed from water after you cook it and put into the sauce LOL! But after a few tries it's not that bad.

To not so good news... my mom unfortunately had a seizure right in front of me that led to a lot of complications for her health and therefore was in ICU for a few weeks. She was diagnosed with a Rare Tumor in which has rocked my world in not a good way. It has been a stressful time for me in which I live between work, the kids and my mother. My family at the moment is dealing with this unexpected event. I have learned that life is short and makes you think of your priorities in life. Watching my mom and my family go thru this has been one of the hardest test that I believe heavenly father has put me through. Forgiveness and a lot of prayer have been with us throughout this process.

and so the saying is true.."when it rains, it pours"

But we live on, move on and learn from all of this.

I know that you love your Texas roads, your BBQ ribs/steaks and mostly your cowboy hats (not everyone wears them trust me) but I love my 50's hat , especially since my mom has given me quite a few of her collection (it was not easy to get, I wasn't suppose to get them till after she passed) So, when you see me walking and I have my beautiful hat on..don't give me a weird stare. It looks gorgeous and even in the summer with a tank, a tee and some good ol' fancy smancey kaki shorts, well it looks good.

Woe Is My Toe

So for like 6 months I've had this annoying Ingrown ToeNail that was gradually getting worse because I was to scared to take care of it. It got to the point to where I couldn't walk anymore especially after my hard past two weeks of 6am-10pm hours. Thanks to an embarrasing episode between Dr. My Boss and a wonderful Podiatrist who came in with his wife..I was able to take care of my little Problem. What a wonderful Doctor and my compliments to the staff ..so NICE... Thank you Dr. Lund you saved my toe..but now I'm in post - procedure pain LOL!

Well, a Troff is what people with animal or livestock use to

fill it up with water and animals drink from it like so --> Water Troff

I, in the other hand do not use it to take a bath, nor to hide from my kids or to feed animals.

I use it as an entertainment center..hehe

I turn it around and put my flat screen above it and decor it with my wonderful decors.. (more to come when it's set)

Neat huh... It was given to Matt and I by his sister when we were married and now It's mine becuase yes I know I'm weird and I love weird and the Parisian Style..although water troff is not Parisian.

Spring Break--

This week has been quite the week.. The Doctor's who I work for decided to go on Spring Break for this next two weeks. So all this week I have been working from 6am-10pm ALMOST everyday this past week and everyday this upcoming week..needles to say I'm tired , No..No..~~scratch that~~ I'm Dead! But Monday's I get off..so on that day I'm SLEEPING ALL DAY. I have not been able to even go to church because I'm dead..the kids have been begging to go (BAD ME! :(

So Update on this Week..I'ts been a while since I've Blogged (shame on me also)

Well I have...My kiddos Great-Grandmother turned 100 over the weekend..and still going. I tell you this woman has seen it all, been thru it all and has survived a many family members.

We took a trip to Jacksonville, Texas...No..No..not Jacksonville, Florida..Jacksonville, Texas... A little small town in Texas...were the drive takes about 2 hours..(1 1/2 the way we were driving) it feels like 7 hours because there's NOTHING ON THE WAY THERE BUT COWS AND COWS AND MORE COWS (Such a Texas Cliche!)

Than when we got there my Cell phone Had no Bars at all...
but once we got to their gorgeous southern home to celebrate their Great-Grandmother's birthday I forgave everything else..(the fact that WalMart was the closest thing to a Mall that they had)

Great Grandma asked Rori if she had ever seen a real live Old women before to which rori replied "Nope Never First Time" LOL...too cute.

Texas Finally Got some Snow

I worked today but thank goodness for windows because every five minutes I was drawn to our wonderful day of snow. Normally the Showers only last an Hour but today it was ALL DAY..

This was a Treat. Each time I looked out I felt like God had a Pillow fight and all the feathers exploded at burst of his pillow. (yes weird analogy)

The Birthday Boy, Chuckie E. Cheese and A HUGE RAT

Today we Celebrated Z's Birthday (even though his real birthday was almost two weeks ago)

He was excited, He couldn't sleep last night...he woke me up three times at 6am asking me if it was time for his party. Each time I responded with " GO BACK TO SLEEP"

The time had arrived, The theme: SpongeBob.. and I went to pick up the cake..

This was his cake...

IS THIS NOT AMAZING...

It was so amazing that other parents were drooling..I was drooling

I took pictures before it got destroyed.

Than the little ones arrived..gave them tokens to play ....they all left

I stayed behind ...thanking the Stars that I had payed people to handle the kids..ohh there were so many KIDS..TONS ...EVERYWHERE...(i'm so glad that I didn't choose to be a teacher as my everlasting Job)

the kiddos came back , they ate pizza... they begged for more tokens..I gave it to them..

than it was time to sing..

and than THE GIANT RAT CAME OUT

Why on earth do children think that a Giant Rat is the coolest thing ever..I mean Mickey Mouse I get... but this guy..Yes well ...I stayed back..

The Rat crowned the birthday boy .... he was happy

In the End It went Smooth..from start to the End..and the boy came home so excited and Chukied Out..

V-month Movie Pick #3 Pride & Prejudice

I have read all of Janes Austen's Books and seen the movies based on her books.. but I can say that my personal favorite is Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley. Yes, the script was changed a lot from the book, but it gave it that extra ba-ba-boom!

Fav. part of the movie....
Elizabeth Bennet: What excuse can you give for your behavior toward him? He told of his misfortunes and yet you treat him with sarcasm.

There's a moment in this scene that is so...so....pasionate. Right after Lizzy Said's "I could ever be prevailed to marry" Darcy and her get so close like they want to kiss but they don't, they stare at each other and there she realizes that she loves him, he walks away. It's just SO Great! I'm a Sap for this movie.

I have been obsessing over this women for a while. I don't know why...because I have been listening to her for all my life. My mom is in her early 70"s so you can imagine the vast collection this woman has in her home when it comes to music. I have been listening to this song for years...I mean years and it just CLICKED...I mean really...

I've been reciting this words forever, because you know when you listen to a song so many times you know the lyrics but when you don't care about it you don't really understand the lyrics. The song used to be annoying because she played it ALL THE TIME....

The Doctor's Visit.

This Week Zeth decided to be the funniest kid ever without even realizing that he was being funny.

We arrived at the doctor's, got called in to the room, took his temp, height, weight and than an eye test.

He did great but when he got to that last line, well it went something like this..

Nurse: Zeth - Read the last line please!

Zeth: (covering his right eye with a cup) you know what lady nurse..you read that last line, I'm tired of reading.

than, he had to pee in a cup but we were peep out because we did that before we went in to the doctor's. So we waited.

So while waiting we went back into the room - the doctor walks in

Doc asked questions - She checked him - she poked him - but the funniest event that happened was when ---- Well..again it went something like this...

Doc: Zeth, this is going to feel a little weird ( putting on blue latex gloves) but your mommy is here so it's okay, I'm going to pull your pants down and check to see if you are ok. Is that Ok?

Zeth: Yeah, Ok!

Doc, lay's him down...she pulls down checks for hernia and in the mist of that We both hear a giggle.

Than she lifted him up and he giggled again followed by "HE-HE you tickled my pee-pee"

Ok sounds weird but at this moment ---WE BOTHED BUSTED OUT LAUGHING!

The final saga of this story happened when his irons levels needed to be checked and for that the M.A. needed to prick his finger.

Which at first when explained to zeth looked like a cool little blue toy.

The convo went like this...

M.A.: Zeth, I'm going to use this (blue pricker) to prick your finger, it may feel uncomfortable.

Zeth: Okay, Here's my hand

he gives her his hand, she takes it, and PRICKED!

Zeth: WOW!-------WOahh...WOahhh! (pulled his hand back) WHY DID YOU DO THAT?

M.A.: I'm sorry hun, I had too, Was it that Bad.

Zeth: (Still in Shock) Lady can I use that on your finger?

Me: LAUGHING!

He got THREE STICKERS for being a comedian that day... cool medical toys- the tongue depresor..and just for the heck of it because the Doc loved him a stethscope.

Yes my friends...with all his speech problems and everything else.... Zeth always manages to be the comedian without knowing it.

The Surprise in the Closet

Zeth has a birthday coming up on the 27th of this month. Knowing that he wants a Ninento DS really really bad. I bought it for him, Including an Indiana Jones Lego game to go with it.

Well being the typical mom who hides the presents in her closet. It didn't take long for this little one to figure this out.

Zeth - (whispers) Mommy I know a secret and it's in your closet.
Me- Huh?
Zeth- Ooops Nevermind (ran away)
Me- Zeth come here!
Zeth- (has the face of an innocent by stander)
Me- Zeth did you see something in the closet?
Zeth - (shaking his head no)
Me- Zeth if you saw something and you tell me what you saw..you can have it right now.

**and without a blink of an eye his words came out so fast that he did not even take a breath.

Zeth - IT"S A BLUE NINTENDO DS WITH AN INDIANA JONES LEGO GAME!!!!!!!!!!

well he got it..so much for my secret hiding place.

Haircutt a few weeks back

As we walked in realizing that this place is made just for boys (Even 12 and under) hence the word Sports included in their Logo...I thought..ohh WoW. Why I came here you ask? Well we won a gift certificate at his school...yep his school. So seeing as his hair was beginning to look like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. He was in desperate need of a trim.

The boy starred in Wonder..yes he did...with all the Sportydecor and most impressive Flat HD Screen TV on what channel well ESPN of course And to his wandering eyes..(yes I saw him) walks this beautiful Curvacious young lady that even in her sporty sweats and Referee Tee - She was blessed with how should I put it...Ummmm Lady Friends or Twins..you get the picture RIght!...so as his name was called out on what he thought was a beautiful creature only fairy Tales could dream off ..he followed her with Puppy Dog Eyes and starred at her in wonder.

He sat there quietly peeking at her thru the mirror ( I saw him) and the more he turned red ..the more this girl , pinched his ...what she called cute little cheeks and adorable dimples..which made his wandering eyes more wandering. Never have I seen him so calm and quiet...I myself have tried to give him a 'Trim" and more so it becomes the WWE Raw Saga.
As the beautiful girl finishes up..she asked him "Would you like a Shampoo" ...I could only hold my laughter because ...the boy looked like he won a Nintendo DS with Bundle included...and the answer was immediate.."YES PLEASE".

He followed her again ..one last time ..and she sat him in a Booster Chair ..He didn't care..She Shampoo'd his hair and when she was done...he Smiled. She gave him a Lolly Pop.
He took out his Lightning Mcqueen Wallet...yes that's right...and took his ONLY $5.00 bill (he had to do a month of chores to get this and was saving it for Legos) and gave it to her.

How naive my son...if he only knew that this girl is trained to earn tips ( not that she expected it from him because she was sweet and gave it back to him) and probably uses the same tactics on Older -- Wiser (<----Laughing) Clientell.

To all this my son could only say "Can I come back tomorrow to get my HairCutt"

Aww Z....you have taught me that even 6 year old boys are drawn to the spells of a pretty girl.

This year, the kids and I decided to do an act of kindness :)

We chose to be Secret Santa Giver's. We picked our neighbor downstairs who have a beautiful teenage daughter who is 14. Who everyday makes me feel old by greeting me with the words "Hey Ms. Renee" and gives me a huge hug which I return. :) So, we left a little something in front of her door and we hope that it made her day.

Being Secret Santa this year was so much fun and felt so good to do.

My New Love For Vintage

My newest love is now Vintage (just a fancy word for Used and old) I was never a fan of Thrift Stores but now it has become my new thing. I am loving Vintage dresses, patterns and flowery are my favorite. Old T's and Jeans, Finding Name brand clothing, and most of all SHOES! The best part of it is the Hunting. For this you need at least a day but the hunting is fun. I love searching for that perfect piece that I am now loving. For example, I went to this Thrift Store in Dallas where I guess the "Rich" People Live and found this Oscar De La Renta Top..for like $5.99. I can now say I own a designer top. Along with that I found this wonderful strappy shoes for less than the top in Great Shape. The other day I went to Plato's Closet..never been there and was shock how many items they had for low prices. Yes Vintage is my new thing. You just have to have an eye for this items. My goal is to fill my petty lil apartment closet with tons of clothes and shoes...hehe. It's time to spoil MOI!

Second...I am currently obsessed with Cowgirl Boots,,,yes I said it ......Cowgirl boots I WANT THEM...WANT THEM BAD!!!!!!! I saw this chick at court the other day (yes court I got a ticket) and she was rocking this boots with a white dress ...ever since than ...I have been thinking about them and dreaming about them and I won't be satisfied till I get them.

Finally, Little Black Dresses I think everyone should have one and I decided I should too. At my current obsession of Thrift Store-ing...I found a Banana Republic Black Dress that I absolutely fell in Love with. Had to take a photo of it before I took it off the Manequin. I took it home and wore it for the rest of the day feeling like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Little Black Dress a women's must have for any ocassion, especially when you are at home doing the laundry.

Frist Week Of School

I can't say that I didn't cry on the first day of school. I did I cried like a freaking baby.

My last one of my brood is off to Kindergarden and I now have both my kids in school, all day, big kids, no longer with kids at home. WOW! soon they will be off to college.

This week was great. Aurora loves her class and her friends and most of all her teacher. I like her too she seems nice. Zeth teacher is a great teacher and thank goodness the same teacher Rori had at his age. But still when I saw my little Zeth sitting down like a big boy I couldn't help but to start crying. Now I'm dealing with his "I don't want to go to school" speech and it's just the first week. How was everyone elses first day/week?

King TUT

We did have fun. We took the train to downtown and walked to the museum.
The kids had fun.
The only thing that really bugged me was that there was no protography allowed inside the museum
I was pretty mad but I had my camera on shoulder straps and snuck in some pictures anyways hehe..
Don't get excited I only managed to get one good pic of King Tut and like 3 others the security was tight at each corner.
The exhibit was amazing..Rori was just in awe when she saw what he looked like inside the Cortouche.
She was not dissapointed ! LOL!
Afterwards they did Arts and Crafts.
Than we took the train back home.

LOL..the guy at the museum was like ..If you can manage to read one sentence out of that...you can a free lunch on me LOL
hence I busted the book out and managed to read something that said.
"Son of Ra'' and "King of " LOL..than I read something that said "may your afterlife be like" and that's it...haha

So Yesterday (Sat. the 22nd) we went to see Coraline. (great movie ---creepy but great!) The kids and I were so excited to see it and they loved it. Towards the end Rori kept telling me "hold my hand" and Zeth kept saying " I'm not scared" lol..We enjoyed our movie night..but the funny part came after the movie.

As we were getting ready to leave. I sat down, turn the engine on, strapped my seatbelt and as usuall told the kids " guys buckle-in" when all of the sudden Zeth turned to ROri and the following took place...it felt like I was watching wrestle-mania..or WWF LOL!

It was a fine day for Jelly Fishing , making Kraby Patties and making Squidward tentacles cry. We bought SpongeBob Lego's and finally after finishing an extensive of what seem non-stop looking for small pieces of legos the size of an ant, We finally finished the krusty Krabs and The famous PineApple House. We had an exciting adventure of Mr. Krabs being greedy and wanting $$$$$....squidward yelling at SpongeBob...driving the famous hamburger car and motorboat. This is the best entertainment to come in this home. It kept them quite all day long.

On Valentine's Day (I'm not announcing but if you want to get me a gift I don't mind LoL!)

But everything is booked, no reservations for anything...I really wanted Spaguetti Wharehouse..yumm!

I guess I can recreate the meal at home... (how hard is it to make Spaguetti right with huge MEATBALLS...I will also be buying the most delicious blackberry pie for my birthday cake ..yes that's right blackberry pie..it's my birthday and the kids will have a mini chocolate cake)

Rori asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her anything you give me will be great. I saw her little wheels turning after I said that ..can't wait to see what's coming for me.

I'm not a fan of V-day so it's worse when it's my B-day. However I do enjoy the day when I get anything I want not like I can't do it any other day but the day is special for anything "I" want with no complaints.
Hence Blackberry pie for me instead of cake hehehe.

(ohhh and before I forget this Warm delicious pie will be served with full NOT Fat free tons of Vanilla Ice-cream on the Side..YUMMMMMM!)

First off ...where did the time go that my sweetest baby boy is now 5.

hola crappers 5 ----- (tears)

We had a private ceremony of Lightning Mcqueen Cake (are you surprised)
and presents. On saturday we hope to pay a visit to the annoying mouse called Chuckie Cheese (why is he named after that doll that kills everyone) this saturday since Texas has been hit with tons ICE this week.

He recived his most anticipated present his first Webkinz toy which is a frog who he named FROGGY (that's his name)

and he is now addicted to this world of tiny plush toy that carry secret codes and you go online to feed it, take care of it and make sure he does not die ( now the big hit since Build-a-Bear)

Happy Birtday to my little boy, whose smile makes my heart melt everyday. <3

Do we jump up and down our beds or couch to get to the other person?

What do we do?

- Well we stick our whole bodies inside our pillow covers

-We make sure the comfy - fluffy side is in front of our bodies covering our faces.

- than we take our places at the opposite sides of each other

-we go for it and run TOWARDS each other

-AND

WHAM! BAM!

that is how we play pillow fight or in this case SUMMO WRESTLING PILLOW FIGHT.

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

Have you made yours for 2009?

I always make one that never ends up coming true and it's the number one that everyone makes . I know at some point you have too..

Let's say it together:

LOSE WEIGHT ---- (are u laughing, I am!)

so this is my New Year's Resolution List. I hope it comes true and hope yours does too :)

1. Purchase a 3brd Home
2. Try to work-out at least 2x a week (it's less scary if I say work out than lose 20lbs)
3. Cook more homemade meals each night and one day off to order in/go out
4. Go to church without missing one sunday
5. Do better in my Spiritual things that I need to do
6. Learn how to do things for me such as actually pampering myself
7. of course always be the best mom I can be
8. I'm pretty good with organization and cleaning so I guess cut down on that because I do it too much lol
9. Spend more time with my family
10. become more involve in the kids school
11.Actually take a REAL FAMILY VACATION this summer 09 - The kids want Sea World in San Antonio
12.I have a Savings account and for the kids so my goal is to and I know this is weird but I need to do a "Will" urghhh I hate thinking about it but I have to do it.
and I can't think of anything else so Hopefully it will all come true at the end of 2009.

New Toys

Having New Toys is always Fun.
For my little boy his new favorite toy..compliments of Santa is his New "Radiator Springs town Carpet" were now he can pull ALL of his Movie "Cars" character car toys and play all day. (literally all day) and let's not mention lining them up one by one bumper to bumper so that I can kindly hurt the soles of my feet when I'm heading out the door with all the lights off (you know when it's dark in the early morning and I have to sneak out to go to work)

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve. I have made this a tradition every year. I try to add more each time.
This year we got ready for Santa and it was so much fun.

We made Santa Cookies
(delicious cookies)

We set them out with a nice note and a glass of milk

We goofed around and added some final touches to our tree

We did not forget about the reindeer and left a bit of reindeer food outside

And finally we snuggled in Mommy's bed for this special night so we could all be together

As far as Texas knows...this is snow...we close down the schools and no one goes to work lol..
The roads are Icy which is a hazard..but I'm sure the northern states would laugh at this notion.
We did enjoy our bit of snow today. This morning Rori looked out the window and screamed "It's a Christmas Miracle" hopefully it keeps up till christmas than it will be a true white christmas :)

I'm a bit mad that the flakes were not big enough to capture and Manual mode is kicking my butt lol
there's so much you can do with it.

When adding a new ornament to the tree make sure to do the following:

1.) Wear a costume of your favorite Movie Character.. (yes he loves Lightning McQueen but he loves buzz too)

Why must people lack common sense? Who knows perhaps they were dropped at birth or maybe they fell on their heads a lot.

It just surprises me how dumb people sometimes act and do not even realize it. It's funny to watch though hehe

Person tried to push open the door
Door would not open..
I stood behind the person giggling..yes..giggling..
person became frustuated even peep thru the dark glass to see if someone was there..
It was packed as starbucks should be in the morning...lines and lines of people waiting for a grande Mocha Latte
I stood giggling again..
I walked in front of the mad person to open the door as the sign clearly said "PULL" not push.. (poor person..must have had a serious case of dumb-itis-day)

Second Victim of today:
During traffic.....
As I'm driving down the road driving the speed limit...(ok maybe 5 over but so was everyone else)
One person decides to speed over 60 cutting in on people, almost side swapping cars, near death accidents, super fast car...
Only to reach the stop light at the exact same time that I did...(HmMMmm wonder if he felt like he won the race)

Third Victim of the day and perphaps the dumbest suffering from Dumb-itis-day..and unfortunate to be someone close to me..

We took pictures with Santa only My camera died right before they sat in his lap. thank goodness for the lady who was taking photos with a digital and was able to email me the pictures.

Santa's Village went well. We had tons of fun. Santa rode made his entrace in a big firetruck.

Than it was an 1hr 1/2 to wait to sit in his lap and say nothing to him when he asked "what do you want for christmas?" But all in all the night was nice and cool (not freezing) and the kids enjoyed every single elf house.

Mommy was tired so she wanted to go home and sleep.

This is a fun activity for those of us who live near Richardson, Texas.
It is completely FREE and the kids will enjoy it. Plus FREE picture with Santa and this guy is great. We do this every year. Hope you can make it :) It does not say the times but each day is between 6pm -9pm and there's a different show each night. Make sure to dress your kiddos warm because it's all outside next to the Richardson library on Arapaho Rd. Past 75 you can't miss it. You will see the village as once you pass 75 and keep going on Arapaho. :) Have Fun.

Our Thanksgiving was so NICE! I decided this year to just be US…no one else just US.

I decided to do my thankful list on this day since it is Thanksgiving.

Even though I feel like the world just crashes down on me (All the Time) I always forget to stop and think, I am not the only one who’s been thru this, I am not the only one who has it bad, there are others who have it worse, I am blessed to have the things I have.

My Thankful Wish:

1. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father, who never forgets me even though I forget him sometimes and fill my life with other priorities, but he always, always is there for me.

2. My Two beautiful children Aurora and Zeth who are just the cutest things ever. (I’m their mom of course they are cute)

3. My family because even though I don’t see eye to eye with them, they are still my family.

4. Aurora (AGAIN) because the older she gets the more and more we become close, She makes me laugh in my darkest days. I will be upset or worried but somehow she will come out with the funniest comments to make me laugh.

5. Zeth (ALSO AGAIN) because he is my patience. He will calm me down with all his love and how much he loves me. I thought I loved him more anything and I do but what makes it even more special is how he always comes to me with a huge hug and kiss and said I LOVE YOU MOMMY! That just melts my heart.

6. My three favorite things. FOOD lol….my computer and my camera.

Today has been the most relaxed day ever. It started out with me waking up to cook our delicious food. In between we played games.

Followed by Couch Snuggling J

Followed by watching movies and the COWBOYS GAME WOOT!

And

FINALLY TURKEY TIME!

At the end of the day we were thankful for our Soft Duckie Towels that kept us warm after it was time to take a bath and be thankful for our little thumbs that soothe us and get us ready to Go to bed. Except for me I stayed up hehe..

I’m Thankful for our day of Rest.

I had to send it back to the manufacturer for a new one
thank goodness I kept all the receipts and had warranty on it. Hopefully I will get it back by thanksgiving. Fall leaves are so beautiful right now and I have no Camera :(

Today Rori had her first field trip of the year. We all went to the Dallas Zoo. I am so happy the weather was perfect and cool.

I took a few pics of the animals and I will post the pics of the kids on another post. I want to thank the animals for turning their backs, falling asleep, hiding and the lovely fence that covered them each time that I took a snap. HeHe!

Ode' to the Ramen

My kids love this stuff.
I hate it.
It's food that sick people eat.
It's food that college students eat because it's like .10 lol.
I just don't like it, the smell of it, the taste, its yuck.

Ode to the RAMEN!

Trunk or Treat Oct. 31st

This year we went to the plano ward with family to do our trunk or treat. The kids had a blast. Zeth was dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow from pirates of the Carribean and Aurora was a Darling Witch. I think we have candy for probably a whole year and I of course have eaten over 30 pieces already.
